We were all (including our 4 year old) made to feel very welcome and the atmosphere was very relaxed and friendly. The room was lovely and very clean. This was one of the best hotels we have stayed in and we would definitely like to return. - Exceptionally friendly and helpful owners, comfortable rooms, excellent food. Very good value.

All I can say is that if you want to be treated like the only one at the hotel, The Grand is the place to go. The staff are excellent in all respects. Beds/pillows wonderful. Lots of towels in the bathroom. Spa - fab. Breakfast, lunch and dinner - a must. What more could you ask for - nothing.

Excellent standard of hotel and staff. They kindly upgraded me to a double room with a great view for no extra charge without me asking. Restaurant dinner was excellent and good portions. Very pleasant stay and would visit again. - Size of room, choice and value of meals, comfort of public rooms. The staff were most helpful at all times.

Just the feel of the place, it so welcoming, the staff are exceptionally polite and helpful, nothing is too much trouble, the guesthouse is steep in history,and Jose the manager was so knowledgeable, what we liked was that the staff were discreet and friendly. The room was very clean which makes all the difference, the bed was comfy and the linen was crisp and fresh,so important. I loved Kris and Duncan's hospitality,they made you feel very welcome and couldn't do enough for you. I said to my partner that I'd like a Kris and Duncan in my life! The breakfasts were lovely and they catered for me being on a diet. The room was immaculate when we came back in the afternoon and was told "it's all part of the service"! The guesthous east is a very nice gesthouse in Eastbourne with only six rooms / appartments. The owners, Sarah and Carl made us a warm welcome and gave us a plenty of good informations for our days in and around eastbourne. Thanks a lot for that.
Good is also, that you have the possibility to use the kitchen included in the appartments e.g. for the breakfast (we used it because we did not want to throw away the frige content at home)...
