The lounge was a wonderful place to watch the sun set over the ocean... although drinks buffet a bit pricey (good food though).   Nice hotel. We had an amazing view. It's old, it's Italian, don't have the highest expectations. AC didn't get cool in our room, but it's was around 75F so not too bad. Parking is really minimal. I drive and SUV, parked it on the ramp and left the keys. The hotel staff moved around the vehicle and parked it. The location is rural and very peaceful, the grounds are beautiful, the breakfast was a delicious mix of local dishes and fresh fruit. The lady in charge was very graceful and helpful. I would describe the Balarte as the Gugenheim in the middle on the Scicilian countryside !

Although they did offer that someone comes for the car to a private garage, at a charge. But that's not an ideal scenario as you need to inform an hour before when you needed the car and they would need to drive the car themselves.
