We were only booked in overnight on our way to Calais from Carcassonne. We arrived after a 7 hour drive so a dip in the outdoor heated pool was a welcome and rejuvenating experience. Dinner was really good - food, service and wine.
It's dog friendly (at €15 ea!) and if you have animals with you the best bet is to book the rooms by the pool, with access directly into the grounds. -

The location is ideal for visiting the Chateau at Chambord. This is a really unique experience and an opportunity to stay in a Chateau. The rooms are of an older period but quite charming. The hosts Patrick and his wife Ileana were both friendly and helpful with local information. The breakfast in a period dining room with painted panels was special.

The property is very interesting. Traditional, very well maintained and decorated with great taste. Our superior room was very spacious, overlooking the garden, and the bathroom was modern. Breakfast is very complete. We really enjoyed the heated outdoor pool, excellent for spending the afternoon. Overall a great base for visiting the Loire Valley.
