Rovinj is a lovely town - we enjoyed walking around and seeing all the wonderful art.
The hotel was comfortable and all the staff helpful and friendly. A good value as well. -

Just outside Pula at Pjescana Uvala. Large older style apartment above the family's house, real wood not plastic. Very large terrace with full views over beach, harbour & islands. Very good clean safe beach & restaurants. Short bus ride from Pula which is also nice with island boat trips & a roman arena, etc. Owner met me from airport & showed me round Pula. The hotel is obviously old (as almost any hotel in Opatija) but I liked the way they tried to keep it clean and pleasant for tourists. The rooms are big enough, staff really friendly. Extremely friendly, helpful and very professional English speaking staff. We were upgraded into G H Adriatic I. Breakfast was excellent, hot and cold with an outstanding selection. We were so impressed we stayed on for an additional two days on a half board basis which at 72 Euro was outstanding value. No hesitation in recommending this hotel.

We loved the setting. A small castle like building on the top of a hill with a small settlement surrounding it. Awesome! We had a nice room, it was a little dark, but not a problem, open the doors and windows. The settlement of Groznjan was fun to be in and walk around. Not a long drive to the Sea and other surrounding villages. Highly recommended to go off the beaten track and stay here.

Villa Palme is a beautiful apartment hotel with a fantastic view over the sea. Erika, the owner, is so nice and helpful and welcome you in a warm atmosphere. Close to everything, by walking. Be ready to walk ups and down since Opatia is buit in hills. But it is good to move after a good dinner and some drinks. Taxi is very cheep. -
