We arrived as a family, having booked to stay the night before catching
the ios ferry the next morning. Arriving early afternoon to drop our
luggage off we had a chat with the very charming and friendly owner
(male), he suggested we may want to get the afternoon ferry on that day
(it had been delayed so was leaving at 2.30) as we would get to Scilly
earlier. We managed to do that, and we were so moved by the hosts
generosity ( he lost a booking because of it!). We will definately
recommend and

Truly and lovely B&B. Located on a quiet street only a few minutes walk from Penzance with good pubs and restaurants. The breakfast was delicious and big enough to last us through lunch. The staff was super friendly and the room was clean, spacious, comfortable, and decorated adorably. We even got little gifts of local wine! Highly recommended!

The Artist Residence is a cosy and lovely hotel. Rooms are comfortable, clean, full of details and nice decorated (each room by a different artist). Breakfast is excellent and staff is really helpful and efficient. Its location - in a quiet street - is excellent for those using public transports, as the hotel is close to the railway and bus station. Very good value for money.

Paul, the person who was on reception and looking after the place was extremely friendly. He even gave us a car tour guide that he had of the local area of Cornwall to take with us while we were driving around sightseeing which included some sights that most tourists don't get to see.
The food was great and good value for money. the facilities were all very clean and we were made to feel so welcome and at home.

Hospitality was lovely - Theo very friendly and welcoming. She booked taxis for us and really made every effort to make sure we were happy.
Breakfast was freshly cooked and exactly what we wanted - even at a time we specified. Fruit, tea, coffee, cereal available all day and night. Really like staying with friends! -

After arriving by train, we spent 1 night at Carnson House before taking the Scillonian next morning. We were in room 6, on the ground floor, opposite the breakfast room. Rob greeted us and made us feel welcome - he also gave a good recommendation for dinner, the Dolphin Tavern, which we were pleased with. This is an add-on to the Beachcliff Hotel and checkin was there. So there were no staff on duty. Entry was by code to the Guest Lodge. The staff did not mind that we used the sitting areas in the main hotel. Not sure if this is a good or bad point.

I was in penzance for a funeral and I was booked for sun mon tuesday nights.we slept there sunday night and did not get up for breakfast just went to the grave yard when we got a call and we had to drive to london at about 5pm so when we checked out I asked if I could get any refund and the manager gave me one nights cost back which I reckon was pretty good of him as I had payed in cash when I got there so I was pleased with that and I will go back next year in the summer as the resort looked
