One word, amazing. Me and my partner stayed on the Friday and were
amazed at how good the standard of the B&B was. The cleanliness of
the whole place was 10 out of 10, the owners from the moment they open
the door from the moment we left made us feel at home and welcome,
they were so friendly and couldn't help enough. The rooms had
everything you would need from a night away from home from shampoo to
toothbrush and shaving equipment. I just couldn't fault the whole
experience and we have al. todos opiniões »
The quirky old character of the house and your very friendly nature. The room was lovely and you provided everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable and the house very close to the fishing area, being in the main 'Old Town' Street. Amel and I had a wonderful time and it 'made' our trip to the English seaside for her. She agreed that whenever we are married, Hastings would be a lovely place to live, where I can paint. Thank you very much for a lovely stay and lovely breakfast.
The hospitality was excellent. The hosts could not have been more accomodating. The rooms were very clean and well decorated. Tea and coffee was in plentiful supply. The hosts also supplied a little cake and chocolate. The house is very old. We loved the exposed beams, low ceilings and uneven floors. The shared bathroom was very clean. There was a sink in every room and towels, flannels, soaps and toothbrushes were supplied. The breakfast was plentiful and beautifully cooked.
The building itself is fascinating, built in the 15th century and very well preserved, just being in it is worth the money.
The hosts are welcoming and engaging without being intrusive.
The amount of traveller's aids in the room, which included: shoe polish, first aid kit, sewing kit etc etc, should satisfy the most demanding guests.
Breakfasts are outstanding, cooked to order and with many choices.
we liked the place a soon as we opened the door, greeted by Ricky and later Jane, a wonderful medival
quaint bed and breakfast .. we stayed in the en suite room .. everything in the room even spare toothbrushes. well worth the money and the breakfast in the morning was superb, would stay there again any time im in Hastings ... best wishes for the future Richard and Mandy ..
Ricky and Jane were so lovely, they made a special effort to make sure we had everything we needed. It was my birthday and they put complimentary champagne and chocolates in the room. The breakfasts were amazing such a selection. The hotel was wonderful, you could smell the history as you entered. the rooms were so fresh and clean and I have never seen such a clean sink..
We stayed 1 night at the Medieval Lodge and thoroughly enjoyed the quaintness of it all. Jane and Ricky were perfect hosts with info for dining at night and local knowledge. Our room, although small had everything we required. Would definitely stay again and have no qualms about recommending this charming B & B.
This 500 year old house, built 3 years before Columbus landed!) was charming to the hilt. The hosts were welcoming, friendly, informative and funny, and as charming as their home. The location was excellent, right downtown and handy to everything, especially the live music venues that go on every night.
Everything about it. It is a quaint medieval house and the owners have
made the most of the space available. Nothing was too much trouble and
the room was very well supplied with different teas, coffees and in the
bathroom everything was there that you would have to ask for say, in a
Premier Inn.
Nothing was too much trouble.
Ricky and Jane were excellent hosts. The rooms quaint and breakfast memorable - a fresh kipper and a full English.
Right in the middle of old Hastings so handy for walking to the restaurants and seeing all the old buildings.
Would stay there again.
a 15th century building which has 3 comfortable rooms, our room was immaculately presented with a very comfortable bed, a relaxed atmosphere and some very nice and appreciated personal touches, ricky and jane are lovely and our stay although just one night was very relaxing.
This was a wonderful experience. The owners are perfectly kind, my room was entirely comfortable and lovely, and the location is fantastic -- for Old Town and the shore *and for a walker looking (as I was) to spend time on the 1066 route and the cliffs above the sea.
everything. Rick and Jane are the best hosts imaginable. They do anything for their guests. Breakfast was excellent.
We Germans are often said to be fussy. but there was nothing to complain. We really enjoyed our stay. We will be back.
I thought it was a brilliant and friendly place, and instantly felt at ease. The room was so beautiful with tudor beams and a four poster bed, I was so pleased with it, it was the most beautiful room I'd probably ever slept in!.
The staff were so friendly and accommodating! Definitely our best B&B stay this visit--and the location can't be beat! Hoping to stay again in the summertime and see more of what Hastings has to offer.
The owners were very welcoming, and took our bags up a spiral staircase.
The breakfast was of the highest standard with terrific service. It is
the most unusual house and one we will remember with affection.
Warm and friendly , Jane and rick could not have done anymore in making us feel welcome in there home , we had good advise on local restaurants and pubs , which did not disappoint us, would stay again.
Wonderful hosts with all needs catered for. Excellent breakfast.
Very good value.
Medieval Lodge is such a lovely old building and we enjoyed our experience in staying there.
Marvellous old building, right in the centre of the old town. Very friendly hosts, good breakfast, lots of choice around tea and coffee (and soup!) in your room.
Ricky and Jane were extremely nice and accommodating. The room was full of useful extras like toothpaste and a kettle and the building itself is incredible.
The staff were charming and helpful. The building was beautifully preserved. Perfect location. Convenient coffee and tea making facilities in the room.
Very kind, recommendation of eating out was great at the Whites.
Lovely Budgie
Though the parking was not outside the front door, very close and safe.
Friendly and uncomplicated welcome and a selection of different tasty breakfasts! Who loves little details will find them in this lodge!.
This is a wonderful place for relaxing, the staff go beyond the call of duty to make sure that you have a pleasant stay.
Amazing hosts who were very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Lovely cosy little B&B just 2mins from the beach!.
Great staff, great place, thecan't do enough for you, we had a special occassion and they made it very special.
very friendly and helpful.Lots of extras toothpaste etc. Lovely breakfast total choice. Warm and comfortable.
I liked the friendly hosts, and the fresh breakfast and the lovely, quaint house which dated back to 1489.
xcllnt breakfast. comfy bed & room. 2min walk to seaside. on lhs of road so look for numbers there.
Beautiful building. Made to feel very welcome. The little extras in the room were very much appreciated.
The building is lovely and so are the couple who run it. They couldn't have been better hosts.
Every thing. Fantastic place, lovely hosts. Couldn't have asked for better.
Loved the homeliness of the place and friendly welcome and top breakfast.
a unique B&B house, very friendly owner and value for money.
Very friendly and humoristic owners. High service level.
Great Hosts, beautiful building, lovely breakfast.
Friendly atmosphere and lovely old building.
Very friendly and gorgeous breakfast :).
Hosts were perfect. Amenities faultless.
Friendly staff.
Everything.
There was only one little thing. We told you our choice for breakfast, which excluded beans but included scrambled eggs. Despite writing it down you got it the wrong way round, but it wasn't enough to complain about and we didn't want to make a fuss in front of the other guests. However the food was great!.
Not all rooms are en-suite.
the only small fault is the booking in times .. but having discussed this with Ricky and Jane .. we could have just dropped our luggage off and enjoyed the day ...
Only one channel on the television.
Sharing the bathroom with another room but keeping in mind this is a B & B not a hotel so no reflection on the Medieval Lodge.
n/a.
The walk to the car park which we had to pay for. However, Hastings
Council operate a system whereby charges cease after 1800 hrs and any
ticket bought after that time and before 0800 hrs (the time charges
commence) was valid from 0800hrs meaning we did not have to be up at
silly o'clock on holiday to feed the machine.
That we could not stay any longer.
Given the name "Medieval Lodge" and the setting and age of the building, we were a little surprised by the decor of the interior. This isn't a bad thing, necessarily, but for someone looking for more period ambiance, they might be disappointed.
Nothing to add.
No complaints.
The coffee was horrible.
Room quite comfy.
Parking not ideal. Pay and display only.
No en-suite bathroom.
couldn tget in to reister until 4.30pm.
carparking public few streets down hill & only free after 6pm.
Not a lot, there isn't any parking outside, but it's literally a 2 minute walk to the nearest car park (The Bourne) so it's not really an issue.
Nothing.
That we didn't stay another night!.
Shared bathroom!!.
Nothing.
