We were just passing through on the way to snow and had intended staying closer to the mountain but am very pleased we stayed in Turangi instead. The extra space and comfort at Settlers was worth a slightly longer drive to the snow in the morning and the value was fantastic. Helen was very welcoming and helpful, would happily stay again, and like to spend more time in the area.

Motel is position well for an early morning walk by the lake &
the courtesy bus is a good idea as the motel is a few ks from the center.

Would like to stay again in the summer to make good use of the outdoor BBQ and out door furniture and watch the sun go down and hopefully watch a loverly sunset with my wife whilst enjoying a botle of wine.

Our unit was #10 back away from the highway which was great. Units are not fancy but beds are comfortable and unit is clean. Because we were travelling by bus it was great for us to be able to have our meals at the motor inn. We stayed here so we could visit Waitomo caves. The motel was very clean and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. There were nice touches like ear plugs supplied for light sleepers, which we didn't need to use even though we slept with the window open.

It was one of our most memorable trip to Taupo and the Comfort Inn has
offered us a service and accomodation at above expected level. The
owners are really friendly and very helpful and have given us an
exclusive service during our stay.As a young family with a 3 year old
boy we didn't had any worries during our stay and the room was

1. Reception. Fantastic. Friendly and accommodating, even checking in
at 7 pm. We booked that afternoon using the wireless at the local
McDonalds. They upgraded us to a bigger room at no charge and gave
us ice out of their own freezer so we could have a nice cocktail.
2. Lake access. It was not across the street from the lake, it was ON the lake. We did not have a room facing the lake, however, we walked out the door and were at the lakefront in one minute. It was so relaxing

Excellent value for money in this busy resort. We discovered this lovely fresh-water pool on a hot day too. Wonderful! A good tennis court also. New bathroom,comfortable beds and all very clean. Staff helpful. Good breakfast too. Good situation. Nice drive to entrance.

Free upgrade to 2 bedroom upon arrival with friendly, courteous staff.
Great location just a short drive, or walk to Huka Falls and very convenient for Taupo itself about 5 mins drive to town.
Quiet setting in your own lodge with a nice deck to sit outside and take in the peacefulness and enjoy the sunshine.
The whole place seemed very well maintained inside and out with free wifi which is not so common in NZ.
Would definitely stay again on a longer trip using it as a base to tour Tongariro and

Was great!!! an very organised for my after hours arrival, staff very pleasant, smile, I would book there again, nice view to Pack n Save wasn't sure how close I was to a shop for conveniences. -
The hotel manager worked tirelessly from dawn till dusk to make sure that everyone was comfortable.

We stayed in an executive room which I wouldn't necessarily describe as executive but overall the facilities there with the kitchen and lounge areas were really good.
