  We found ourselves in Rhodes for business so we wanted something outside town. Lyristis was ideal, as we read nice comments and it was cheap as it was out of season. Perfect room, as needed with sat Tv, safebox, big balcony for having breakfast and dinner out. The owners were lovely, very kind and helped us giving details where to go and what to do during free time. Will stay again next week as - The owners are great, very friendly and helpful people. There is free wi-fi, nice pool, air-conditioning, minimarket on the spot, small kitchen spaces (so you can make breakfast easily). The localization of the hotel is perfect: it is 5 minutes' walk from the beach and restaurants/shops but at the same time far enough from the noise coming from many night clubs.   The staff were very helpful and so friendly. The rooms were clean. Compared to other hotels down in town Hillside is also a much more quite location to stay. Hillside is located about 12-16min walk from town. I am not writing this as a negative as our group was more then happy to save the money we did and just walk.   The rooms were nice and sitting on the balcony was great, the sea is just a few steps in front. The beach is sandy (it gets really hot). You can hardly find any hotel closer to the sea, I think. The staff was friendly and gave good advice. Some bars (full of young British tourists) are just a 2min walk away.
