  The buffet breakfast is very nice and with a large selection of fresh food. The family room was quite spacious and the bunk beds for the kids large and secure (the top bed has a very high fence). It's a very short walk to the Zoo, but the park is still secluded and closed (so great to have your kids roam around freely). Plus small kids are free - Beautiful hotel and family rooms well designed and carefully thought out. The childrens bunk beds were in a separate area, behind a closed door, but within our room, brilliant! Large comfortable beds, lovely warm showers, good sized pool, fabulous buffet evening meal and breakfast. Great location for the wonderful beaval zoo.

We enjoyed the spaciousness of the suite, the kitchen, dining table, and separate "man cave" which in fact was a cave built into the limestone cliff.   Loved everything. The chateau is gorgeous. Our rooms were in an annexe and every need had been catered for. The lounge and bar areas in the main chateau were very welcoming and comfortable.   The location is excellent, just off the main Issudun shopping street, yet very quiet. The garden rooms are a real haven of calm and peace. Staff are friendly and patient with our attempts at speaking French. We have stayed here on a number of occasions over the past ten or so years and feel it's like coming home each time we visit. - We have meet the owner and his wife in Cahors and liked their food. when we came to La Cognette they remembered us strait away and gave us a very warm welcome. We celebrated my husbands 70 Birthday, and they remembered this and he even got a present. we felt so much at home so this is the place for us to celebrate special events in the future.
