We were making a round trip of the US West and spending a weekend in SF (June 22 to 24). My mom and I went to San Fransisco for just one night. When we started
looking at hotels we got really overwhelmed. Everything was so expensive
with poor reviews. Except this place. The reviews were decent. And we
were so happy we chose it. It was extremely easy to find, parking was
free, the staff was very nice and friendly, and the room was very clean.
We actually had a great view of the city from our room. And it's
close to the palace of fine arts and the marina, so it's an easy and

The staff are excellent, they always treat me with dignity and respect
and the Europa is now my official choice of stay whenever i'm in San
Francisco. No outrageous deposits and even booked my airport shuttle
without any hassle. My number one recommendation for any budget traveler
who wants to stay somewhere in the city that is safe, clean and
comfortable. Thanks to the Europa staff you guys are the greatest, and I
will see you the next time I am in town.

The rate online was very competitive for a city stay. They provided
complimentary bottled water and cookies in the afternoon. As a guest,
you get a discount at the adjoining cafe, which providing a convenient

Ideally situated for everything. In Union Square in 2 minutes and easy access to all forms of transport. Staff were friendly and helpful and the diner next door excellent. Everything on the doorstep. Being in the city centre meant it was noisy at night but earplugs were provided. We slept very well without resorting to them. Very happy with it all and thoroughly recommend the hotel.

The Hotel is a bit dated but very clean, I stayed in deluxe king room, paid close to 70 bucks a night, I must say I'm very impress. the room is quiet large with hardwood floor, bed is comfy, place is clean, the building is old but well maintain. It was much quieter than staying downtown, with easy access to the bus and not far from Golden Gate Park by car. Good restaurants within an easy walk. Had exactly what I needed at great price for the location (Quiet, Secure
private room; Breakfast included ) Everything was as stated on their
website or better. Staff are very friendly. They gave me an itemized
receipt. Perfect for post docs and students or others on a tight budget
