  Fantastic, safe location just a few short minutes by foot to Times Square and in the centre of Restaurant Row - in-house restaurant was great too and we had a few meals there - including room service.   We loved the hotel, the complimentary breakfast was a perfect start to the day, the fact we were upgraded to a suite - both rooms, the friendliness of the staff everything was no trouble and the central location was ideal for the theatres, restaurants and easy of getting to anywhere else.   I had stayed there before and enjoyed the traditional atmosphere hugely. I was pleased to see it offered at a tbetter price than other hotels close by.manhattan is nonetheless very expensive - Loved the location, ambience, room!

The welcome greeting with the cookies was lovely and so the ice-cream and cookies treat on 4th july. the location is great, the view from the upper floors is dreamy - and yes - we will come back to the double tree hilton-time

  The position is simply perfect to visit Manhattan, very close to Times Sq., the 5th Av., the theater distr. and a couple of strategic subway stations. On 51st St. between 5th and 6th Ave. Right across from Radio City Musical Hall, and the Rockefeller Plaza/Center, plus the Subway station was around the corner. The room was a bit small, but comfortable enough for 3 (2 adults & one kid). The small fridge and microwave were a plus! The lobby is small compare to other big hotels, but it was quiet. The staff was always nice and helpful. I will stay there again!

  When we arrived we were allowed to check in two hours early, and were given the choice of two different rooms - that was very kind and we got a big room as a result. The location is pretty great as long as you don't mind a bit of walking, but that's the same across New York. A bit expensive, but again, that's just New York. Unbeatable for this price. Plenty of foodshops around. The staff: the receptionists were extremely friendly and helpful (thanks Joey! ;-) + they can arrange transport to the airport, which was extremely helpful. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely go back there on a next trip to NYC.
