  The quiet room. The comfortable bed. The cleanliness of our room and the inn. The comfort of the bed and the temperature of the room.   Request for a room with a view was honored. The corner room had three large windows looking out to the city and a nearby bell tower/steeple which chimed on the hour...must to our delight. Not in the least bit annoying as others have stated. Quite charming. Beds were luxuriously comfortable. Can't recall a more enjoyable hotel stay. However, they were able to accommodate us and one of our rooms was better than we had originally booked, at no extra cost, so - result! Only stayed one night so don't feel we got the full benefit of the hotel, however the staff were very pleasant and helpful, particularly in relation to the missing booking.

  Enjoyed the facility itself, but the staff made our stay more pleasurable. The location was within walking distance to almost all of Newport. I will go again. - I love that the hotel is unique and desn't feel like any chain hotel. I also love the history of the hotel and that it has been open since 1929.
