We loved being in the thick of things in downtown Newport. We Loved Jane, the manager, who was very thorough, friendly, and helpful. We loved the sheets and th comfort of the bed. We Loved th view of the harbor from our room and the spaciousness of our room and sitting area.For the price, some higher qualitybaked goods would have been betterfor the included continental breakfast. I thought the Inn had everything that we needed for our week end in Newport, RI. The staff was great, very helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean, and the breakfast was great. Plus, there was always a pot of fresh coffee. I would book this Inn again. Thanks to all the staff. -

The Christopher Dodge House is just such a cosy place to stay at with ataff that really makes you feel welcome, I fell in love with it as soon as I walked through the door! We have been travelling all over the world with a family of four (adults plus daughters of 17 and 19) and Christopher Dodge has definitely been one of the best places to stay. Really helpful, pleasant and professional staff, nice clean premises, excellent breakfast and most of all a cosy, homely feeling. Since the location was great as well with walkig distance to the centre of Providence this all made for a great stay. Thank you, all at Christopher Dodge!

Stayed on 1st Fl Rm 105. Hotels location was a plus being so near Thames Street & waterfront. The underground garage was great since our car was secure while we walked all over Newport. This place was located in a perfect spot! Two blocks from the center of town. The building had such character and the rooms a beautiful mix of the old with the new. The staff was so helpful and friendly ( especially Jo!)! Awesome view from the top deck of the water. Lots of nice little touches....soft robes, fluffy pillows, good-nite note w/ gummy bears instead of chocolates :-)! Would definitely stay here again!

It had everything that we needed. The staff were especially helpful and informed us that the shuttle would take us to a restaurant for lunch. Since we were really tired of driving by this time and didn't want to try and find a good restaurant, this was greatly appreciated. The room was very quiet and had a comfortable bed. it was easy to find

The rooms were large. We had extra pillows. My husband always wants extra pillows. The bed had a lightweight throw blanket. I liked that. The ice machine and vending machines were close by. The shuttle was prompt and driver was nice. We were close to the airport.
