This was my first stay and was there for one night only (in Nov 2013). - The hostel was clean and staff were welcoming. - You get a new bed-sheet, a comforter, pillow and a towel. - Common bathroom has hot and cold water. - No curfew.   Boerum Hill is a great alternative to staying in Manhattan. We were travelling for a friends wedding in the area and probably wouldn't have considered it before but definitely would again.
