Boerum Hill is a great alternative to staying in Manhattan. We were
travelling for a friends wedding in the area and probably wouldn't
have considered it before but definitely would again. We stayed in the
top floor, two bedroomed apartment which gave us much more flexibility
than you would have in a hotel room. You can cook meals, chill out,
watch tv and have a bit more comfort in your down time. The space is
great, two good sized double rooms and a well equipped kitchen and

Having previously paid a small fortune to stay in cramped dingy hotels
rooms in Manhattan, we decided to try this as an alternative. It was a
great decision. You get so much more for your money, in terms of space
and facilities. Our room was spotless, spacious and comfortable. We were
in a guest house but had total independence and freedom. The very
helpful manager was available at specified times but left us to
ourselves unless we initiated contact. The area has plenty bars and
restaurants nea.

Location, location, location!!! Great neighborhood, close to
restaurants/shops, very walkable. Kitchen made it handy to make our
own coffee, toast bagels etc. in the morning. Decent furnishings and
comfortable beds for three of us.

We have no real complaints at all. The double bed in the smaller room is
a small double but this sleeps two adults well and is not a problem.

Nothing but be aware that there are 2 flights of stairs up to the apartment!.

Not super clean. The tub was slow draining. The innkeeper knew about it
since when I mentioned it on Tuesday evening, she told me that was that
why there was liquid plumber in the cabinet. One towel switch and no bed
change the six nights we were there. We seemed to be an afterthought.
No change of towels, owner was on the phone when we were leaving and just signalled us to throw keys on table, I thought it was very rude of her.
