  This place is a 90 year old hotel and it wears it well. It's elevator is a clicketly-clack apparatus with a scissor gate-that you have to hold the floor number for a couple of seconds to roll- did I feel safe using it? Yes. Did I think it added to the ambiance? Absolutely.   The front desk person was friendly. I like that you have to be buzzed in and I like that everyone who enters the hotel has to pass the front desk. Also for longer stays they have laundry facilities. - This place has a decent nightly rate and a great weekly rate if you can get them to honor it.

  The hotel was amazing, so relaxing and beautifully done up. The restaurant/bar was also a very nice surprise - really good food and wine, in a great environment. Interesting area, not too touristy which we liked.

  I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights in mid November. I have seen people raise there eyebrows when they learn this hotel is situated in Tenderloin area (which is considered a bit shady area). I too was reluctant to stay there but post my stay I experienced that it was not that badly located. The park place is small but all the guests found a place while we were there.
