  The hotel is set in a very good location near the sea. It has character of the old seaside town hotel, complete with tartan style carpet! Some lovely garden with tropical plants including a eucalyptus tree. I found the manager on call, Alex, very helpful when I needed change of mattress. Well done Alex. - stayed for 2 nights with a party of 7. and when we arrived we we`re greeted by a very nice chap at the reception and given the keys to the rooms to relax.and basically from that moment on the 2 nights was excellent and all the staff smiled and nothing was too much trouble.the 5 course meal was fab,the beds comfortable & breakfast ample.all in all a lovely weekend had by all

I liked the fact that we could book an apartment at the hotel, so we could prepare our own meals.   Having lived in Devon all our lives it was a hotel we had passed many times in the past, wondering what it would be like to stay there. We were not disappointed. Yes it would have been nicer to have had a slightly newer more modern bigger room, but what we had proved to be adequate for the one night we stayed. The bed was comfortable.   Bishops Court Hotel is really genuinely beautiful old fashioned hotel and generally a really nice place to stay. Both me and my girlfriend couldn't find a single thing to gripe about, the entire place is beautifully furnished and clean, the room and the hotel generally has a very welcoming feel and the staff are very friendly and proffessional.
