The hotel is set in a very good location near the sea. It has character of the old seaside town hotel, complete with tartan style carpet! Some lovely garden with tropical plants including a eucalyptus tree. I found the manager on call, Alex, very helpful when I needed change of mattress. He went out of his way to facilitate this and I was very impressed by his attention to my request. Well done Alex.
wszystkie opinie » stayed for 2 nights with a party of 7. and when we arrived we we`re greeted by a very nice chap at the reception and given the keys to the rooms to relax.and basically from that moment on the 2 nights was excellent and all the staff smiled and nothing was too much trouble.the 5 course meal was fab,the beds comfortable & breakfast ample.all in all a lovely weekend had by all. Good location 10-15 minutes walk to Torquay with well maintained gardens and nice views through the trees. Friendly staff with excellent service. Superb food - excellent value and quality. Relaxing and well decorated public areas. Great hotel which is just a few minutes from Meadfoot beach. Bedrooms are light and spacious. Staff are extremely courteous. Bed and breakfast was excellent value for the price we paid. Hotel grounds are very well kept. Loved this hotel, the location,the gardens,the bedroom,the large comfortable bed,and the cooked breafast. quiet side of town,close to beach and good for coastal walks,15 mins walk into town ,suited us. Good service, food, room and excellent value. Nothing was to much trouble for the staff. Staff were very friendly and breakfast was well cooked. Good grounds for relaxing in. It was in a nice quiet location. The cooked breakfast was more than enough so we stuck to cereal and toast the second day. Gardens good service and food in the restaurant pleasent location and surroundings. We booked last minute and the room was not the most spacious or airy that this Hotel offers, but I was grateful that we had somewhere to stay at this busy time of the year. our room was at the back,windows over looked other windows.no view. car park was very tight when full. Although aged 60 and 58 we felt that most guests were old and went to bed by 10pm. definitely an old persons hotel. breakfast staff. Parking was a bit tight. Our room was very stuffy as the windows were very small. The service at breakfast was very slow. The staff did not use their time efficiently - they would take an order and then walk out to the kitchen empty handed without clearing any tables!. Reception very gloomy initial contact owner i think unhelpful bar poorly run dull and gloomy was not available on request for residence after 11pm no attempt was made to accomadate requests for a late drink.
