We were upgraded to a luxury suite because our original room smelt dampdue to a large wet patch on the floor....this was dealt with politelyand efficiently and seemed unknown to the reception staff but thecleaning staff must have been aware. This has new management and they are doing a good job, the facility is not the best but certainly not the worst. Everything was catered for and the staff / owners were extremeley nice and hospitable. There was a wedding night occuring during our arrival, but all was good and al was peacful at a time that didn't affect our stay. we would stay again if we were in the area. Not the best for the price we paid, but certainly good value.

Note: It is a little far to walk to the NEC but there are plenty of taxi's and the parking at the NEC, although £8 is very well organised. - The pleasant atmosphere and the very obliging, helpful and welcomingstaff on entering the hotel. Although we didn't have the time to haveour evening meal there (due to our late arrival, caused by delayedtrains etc), we made sure we had the full buffet breakfast , which Imust say was absolutely fabulous!!
