  It's an unusual little hotel in some ways, but my room in the new part was very clean and entirely met my needs. The lady proprietress was welcoming and very interesting to talk to, having run the hotel for many years and recently increased the number of rooms. Breakfast was good, but the meal the previous evening was quite excellent.   This has new management and they are doing a good job, the facility is not the best but certainly not the worst. There is a lot of refurbishment to be done in all areas but it is clean, quiet and fantastic value for money. The breakfast was better than a four star hotel I stayed in and the staff were both pleasant and very helpful. I would recommend this as a stopover before flying. £40 for a night was excellent - Everything was catered for and the staff / owners were extremeley nice and hospitable. There was a wedding night occuring during our arrival, but all was good and al was peacful at a time that didn't affect our stay. we would stay again if we were in the area. Not the best for the price we paid, but certainly good value.
