  Very friendly staff that provided excellent service, also accomodating my request to park the box trailer to the rear of the hotel in the shade, where my dog stays when travelling with us.   We liked everything about the hotel. The food was exceptional and they serve a lovely afternoon tea. The building itself was intriguing, historic, tastefully decorated and it was like something out of an Agatha Christie story. We stayed in a standard room which was a reasonable size and comfortable and clean, we were very impressed with the feather b - We stayed with two dogs, and the latter were made very welcome as were we. The room was well appointed and the special two day mid-week offer was excellent value. We decided to eat in and the food was very good and well presented. Overstrand is quiet but good walks in the evening and interesting history. The hotel has been well restored to keep the Edwardian with a hint of German, feel, of its first owner and builder. We would stay there again.

  The accommodation was very clean and welcoming, the room was well presented and quiet, bed was very comfortable and a good nights sleep was had. Excellent value for money.
