The hotel was lovely and full of character. Our room was great, very clean and had a lovely view of the water. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. This hotel is fabulous. Very clean, beautiful linen on super comfy beds, and lots of lovely touches. Big China mugs and a teapot, soft dressing gowns, useful stash of "forgotten to pack" items, iron, mineral water and a little box of mints. I didn't eat breakfast, but others who did said it was very good. My evening meal was excellent although a bit expensive.

The hotel / pub was excellent. We stayed in room 5 which overlooks the sea views. The room was large and had everything you would need for a short stay. We eat both nights in the bar and the food was good at reasonable prices. Breakfast was so good, one of the best we have eaten in the many many stays at hotels throughout the Uk. Well done to all

I really liked all of the lovely friendly staff especially the manager she was absolutely lovely and really made us welcome I wished we were staying longer at that point , they were amazing with my daughter and my boyfriends son and great with our dog. Really understanding.

My children really loved staying at Sandown Manor: they called it the "best hotel they'd ever stayed at". The enjoyed the animals, games and playroom very much. The owners were extremely kind and helpful with us. They made us feel at home and willing to come back very soon.

The various lounge areas felt particularly relaxing and makes it very easy to socialise with the other guests or find a more secluded area if one so desired. We loved the breakfasts. We were offered an upgrade on arrival to a premium room at a attractive price that was well worth it as the room was my larger and had a very comfy sofa. Staff were very friendly and wanted to help. Location was very good and only a short drive to the beech, easily walkable but would be uphill on way back.
Will stay again if we go back to the Isle of Wight.
