The hotel / pub was excellent. We stayed in room 5 which overlooks the sea views. The room was large and had everything you would need for a short stay. We eat both nights in the bar and the food was good at reasonable prices. Breakfast was so good, one of the best we have eaten in the many many stays at hotels throughout the Uk. Well done to all at the hotel and keep up the good work. The hotel is in Chale very close to Blackgang Chines. If you like to go on walks along the cliffs and come bac.
wszystkie opinie » I really liked all of the lovely friendly staff especially the manager she was absolutely lovely and really made us welcome I wished we were staying longer at that point , they were amazing with my daughter and my boyfriends son and great with our dog. Really understanding. We brought a small dog with us, we were allowed to take her anywhere in the Inn even the restaurant which was a great help to us. Large comfortable room with lovely toiletries, beautiful views, very close to coastal path walks. Very friendly staff. Soft play area for the little one was great but not open long enough. Food was lovely! Very good value and included a great breakfast with lovely sausages! Staff were excellent and made the trip really special for our little boy. the wight mouse is a family friendly environment with a large garden. It has sea views and is set in a lovely quiet location. Beaches are nearby, Rooms are clean and comfy. I would definitely stay again. The staff was wonderful, helpful and my kids thought they were great. The location was good. Carpet on the stairs and landing to the bedrooms is in need of replacing. Bathroom could do with a small revamp. Minor points would put this room into a 4 star bracket. Reception needs abit of TLC but our room was very nice. Waited for 50mins for breakfast on both days could have been nice if it was not that long. Some maintenance work needed to be done in our room. Would have been nice if done prior to booking the room. The walls are very thin.We could hear the people in the next room. Not very appropriate especially with kids in our room. Going home - Should have planned to stay longer!. No downsides for me or the group. A little more room at breakfast would have been good. Although the breakfast itself was nice. Not enough vegetarian options on the menu. Although our room was very large and very comfortable, the on suite shower room was tiny without a window and very dated. I think the whole of the hotel part of the Inn could do with a complete overhaul and refit including new doors and windows and thicker partition walls but the pub side of the business is great and doesn't need changing at all. The heating in both of our rooms was not working. We were supplied with oil filled electric radiators. The radiator in my parents (elderly) bathroom was also not working - staff suggested my mother wheel the "electric" radiator INTO THE BATHROOM!!!!!!!!!!!. Bathroom floor very slippery and door wouldn't close / lock. Also need a shelf in bathroom for toiletries as had to balance them on the loo!. The weather was awful, the soft play was only open until 4pm, there was no conditioner provided (these are only very minor points though). Dogs were present in the restaurant, however the facilities were all very clean. Nothing. the bed was awful could not sleep in it as it slopped so much.. shame as nice place.also our room was was not cleaned as there was only one key to the room and at no time were we asked to leave it with anybody. we just returned around 5.30 to an uncleaned room and refills od coffee tea etc left on window sill in the corridor...!. nothing to moan about!. The seating outside had no back rests. The décor is very tired and needs updating. The lobby area did not smell very nice. The double glazing is we understand being replaced but our room had the old windows and our lovely sea view was visible through a 'mist'. Shower room and toilet ceiling thick with mould. Layer of thick dust on top of wardrobe where I stowed my case. Carpets were old a tired and need replacing and the mattress was past its best. The cleanliness should be improved. Tired bed and stuffy bedroom with 'mould' on bathroom ceiling. The food ,poor pub grub the room , spartan. bathroom moldy, toilet seat falling off was replaced right away but new one fell off soon as was touched. The management staff were appalling, smelt of BO and had little regard for guests ability to enjoy the bar area. Foul language between staff arranging shift rotas are not something one wants to hear when trying to enjoy a quiet conversation in the bar. Bit tatty could do with a bit of paint etc. The room we were allocated (No8) was very,very small, had an extremely squeaky bed, every time you moved the noise was terrible !! The worst thing was that the room was not clean. Cobwebs.Stains on the bedding and the bathroom ceiling was covered in black mould. Not what I would expect in any hotel or B&B of any star rating !!! I would not recommend this establishment to any other person because of this. Room was a bit tatty (Seals gone on windows and duck tape holding tiles in place in shower) & small for three persons which included a child, The en-suite only had a shower which is no good for a small child. The place had a distinctive smell of dogs. Despite a photo on the web page showing a beach the hotel is quite far from any beach. Was going to charge us more than the agreed booking price. When we showed the booking sheet, we did pay the original price. poor cleanliness in rooms & restaurant poor food quality Health & safety issues bare cables on stairs that where left and caused trip hazard thread bare carpet on stairs. There was loads of hair in the shower plug and the toilet brush holder was half full of ?. Old and dated could do with a major up grade. Even the manager aggred with us,. Extractor fan not working Dirty crockery 45 min wait for breakfast General lack of maintenance Tired furnishings Staff apathy. everthing.
