The room was very quiet. It is a beautiful position, good for exploring Mumbles and the Gower, and also Swansea centre is easily accessible. I left the car at home and found the local buses to be frequent and stress free. I would certainly return.

Booked this apartment as a birthday celebration. The apartment exceeded our expectations both in size and facilities. the friendliness of the member of staff who agreed to meet us when we arrived at Cardiff, and came out of his way to allow us to drop off our luggage at the apartment early - and was very accommodating in allowing us to stay over the 11am departure, this meant a lot as we were very tired and the fact that is was raining at the time - thanks a lot.

Really nice place in a lovely location just outside Neath and handy for Swansea Bay and the Mumbles or exploring Camarthen Fan (Black Mountain). The place is a credit to the owner - Lawrence Morgan who has worked hard over many years to establish a top quality guest house.

The staff are friendly and very helpful. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean and tidy. The breakfast is the most enjoyable continental breakfast I have ever seen in hostels, and there are free dinner nights. There is a living room where you can watch films and play video games. The locaton is excellent, just ten minutes walk to the castle.

It has to be said, this is a truly wonderful place to stay. No paper thin walls, hard beds and noise here. If your're on business and you've had a hard day and want to relax this is where you need to be. If you like the thrill of mountain biking and want some scary trails - this is the IN place to stay.

Afan Lodge is an amazing hotel and made so by the family of mountain bikers who run it
It's got the lot if you're into mountain biking from a hearty breakfast before your ride, advice on trails to ride during the day and local food/beer to drink on your return (and all without having to get in your car once you arrive because it's located in the middle of the trails)
But if you're not into mountain biking and just want to explore this beautiful part of the world you'll get a similarly warm welc

Was attending a funeral and deciding to stay over after a train journey from Essex was a last minute decision so was a bit disappointed at the price. We loved the staff. We received the friendliest welcome we've ever
had. The bed was huge, and very comfortable, and the shower was awesome.
(Not that we're shower connoisseurs or anything, but it really was
good). The breakfasts were really yummy, as a combination of continental

stay here again for sure.
