  I was really impressed by the hotel. Having read reviews for lots of London hotels before booking I was really hoping it lived up to the pictures and it really did. On the night, as we arrived late we got a taxi (which the hotel sorted - I've just returned from a two night stay at Aloft London Excel where I had a great time. Although this hotel is not in the centre of London, the DLR line (a metro line on the surface) station Prince Regent has direct access to the hotel and the station of Tower Gateway, in the centre of London, is within a trip of 15 minutes. We stayed for 4 nights so really got to make ourselves at home. We cooked at least once (if not twice a day). The outside area, kitchen and lounge are excellent and really comfortable to relax in. The other guests were very friendly, we would definitely recommend this as a cost effective way to stay in London!
