The staff and restaurant and restaurant staff were fantastically friendly and helpful. And the food especially at the restaurant - we had dinner - was some of the most delicious my partner and I ever tasted. And the view of the Derwent river was also brilliant. The ducks came right up to our back door and we could feed them. It was so peaceful and adorable.

We arrived very late due to airline delays but the young man on reception was most helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We had a compact/budget room that was far better than I expected (having read some negative reviews) and it really was great value for money. Didn't have a car so no need to worry about the carpark. We had no noise issues and had amazing views. Very clean, very comfy beds/pillows, great location as it was just a short walk to the CBD and Salamanca.

Location was awesome - absolutely lived up to the pictures, and we loved it. The space was also good - we had two separate apartments with a connecting door. - the staff very nice, design of the bedroom very good, lot of good amenities like a washing machine, a oven, tea coffee, blanket and so on

Although this motel is a fair way from the city, there are bus stops nearby so the heart of Hobart is only a mere ten minutes away! My room was clean, warm and the facilities were all there. Situated in a national park there was good access to several short and long walks. No television in rooms was great, added to the peaceful, relaxing feel of the whole area. The option of cooking for yourself or a great bistro and al carte restaurant (didn't dine al carte) with wonderful food options including a picnic hamper for walking is great a great idea. Bliss. The highlight of our trip. Peace and quiet in beautiful surroundings. Who doesn't want to curl up in front of a fire in a log cabin in the mountains. Sharon and Ian were fantastic and helped you with anything you needed. Extended our stay and wished we could have stay longer. Cosy, comfortable, and charming.
