nicely appointed. It was close to the cathedral and the center of town.
There were nice shops and sightseeing areas nearby. The staff was quite
friendly and the pub had really good food and drinks. The stairwell and
hallways were kind of like a tiny maze but we found that to be charming.

breakfast here but it was very good. I would certainly recommend this

Lovely setting. Excellent communications when I had reason to contact the hotel directly. The recently refurbished rooms and restaurant were a real treat and the food was yummy. We booked some time ago and the new owners honoured our booking price which made our trip the bargain of the Century. Good Luck with Your new acquisition. -

Arriving in the middle of a period of hot weather we were initially very uncomfortable in our room but the management went out and bought a fan. The food in the restaurant was very good and staff very helpful. Only a 10 minute drive into Winchester.

Very clean and high quality new, well-appointed accommodation, medium comfort large bed with a nice white sheets & duvet, plenty of space in the room, the fridge was a welcome extra. The bathroom facilities were very good. Close to the main attractions (10 minute walk to the main street). Plus most attractions in walking distance. They now have a blind, which seemed an issue (from another feedback) and the room is very private.

Amy gave us an excellent welcome on arrival. the room was extremely clean and comfortable. since we were leaving early the next day, the staff brought over many food items for us to be able to have some breakfast before leaving. the food at the for and hound is very well priced and of very good quality. They made you feel very welcome! It was relaxing but not removed from the community. Everyone there was so friendly. It was a perfect ending to a rather frustrating day in London. Beautiful view from our room window! Room was the perfect size. I actually was sad that we booked only 1 night there. I could see us coming back and booking a week just to relax and visit with the locals. Hope to come back again someday!
