  I dont think the location could be any better, its right outside the gates to winchester cathedral. our room was almost stately, with a beautiful (yet very unpractical) roll-top bath... the shower was huge and one of the best I've used, but the surround curtain and the bath design meant that the floor pretty soon got flooded. It was very nicely appointed. It was close to the cathedral and the center of town. There were nice shops and sightseeing areas nearby. The staff was quite friendly and the pub had really good food and drinks. The stairwell and hallways were kind of like a tiny maze but we found that to be charming.

  The staff were very freindly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable. Good location on the edge of the city and within easy walking distance of the shops, pubs, restaurants and other attractions. We only had breakfast here but it was very good. I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to spend a short break in Winchester. - Hele... was die leute sagen » n was simply amazing. A very small hotel with friendly staff. Even though no lift, we got help with our heavy suitcases. Food was nice. The room was really good. Walking distance to the shops. A shame I didn't get the name of the other manager or other members of staff on duty cos they were all really nice.

  Lovely setting. Excellent communications when I had reason to contact the hotel directly. The recently refurbished rooms and restaurant were a real treat and the food was yummy. We booked some time ago and the new owners honoured our booking price which made our trip the bargain of the Century.   We stayed at the kings head for one night and ate at the restaurant there. The staff were friendly and accommodating, fitting us in for dinner at last notice when they were busy and allowed us to leave our car with them the following day. Our room was very clean and well presented, the bed very comfortable and enjoyed the overall feel of the place... was die leute sagen » . - Arriving in the middle of a period of hot weather we were initially very uncomfortable in our room but the management went out and bought a fan. The food in the restaurant was very good and staff very helpful. Only a 10 minute drive into Winchester.

  We wanted a base close to the town and sports facilities and Just a B fulfilled this requirement. The room was self-contained and we could come and go as we pleased. It was tastefully decorated and furnished and the bathroom was fabulous and everything was spotlessly clean. The facility to make tea and coffee was good with ample supplies which were replenished each day. We stayed for three nights and could happily - Very clean and high quality new, well-appointed accommodation, medium comfort large bed with a nice white sheets & duvet, plenty of space in the room, the fridge was a welcome extra. The bathroom facilities were very good. Close to the main attractions (10 minute walk to the main street). Plus most attractions in walking distance. They now have a blind, which seemed an issue (from another feedback) and the room is very private.

We weren't expecting breakfast to be included, so were pleasantly surprised to find a continental breakfast delivered to the room as well as milk, water butter and jam (for the coissants) already in the fridge. I could see us coming back and booking a week just to relax and visit with the locals. Hope to come back again someday!
