The location of the hotel was convenient to where I had to be the next day for a conference. I loved the site - by the river with wonderful views (especially at night), The hotel building was lovely - very attractive/welcoming exterior, wonderful interior design - very different and homely at the same time.

Every hotel has it's own personality but share a common set of standards and values... all very high. I like the wine list... Manchester had a special wine list which I would have liked to see in Newcastle. Young but not 'trendy'. The staff seem happy to be there!

If there was an option to give the staff more than a 5 + rating then I would. Thouroughly enjoyed my long weekend here and the staff were remarkably helpful and pleasant. I would hope this gets back to them and they can be commended for this.

This is a really special hotel. We really loved the quirky modern design. Everything was top notch. The staff were super friendly. Because we were kept waiting for a few minutes when we were checking in we were sent to our room with a bottle of champagne. The room was large and bright and decor interesting. Good free wifi - the kitchenette and 2 TVs were an unexpected bonus. (Would love to come back when the strip fire all along the front window of the hotel is alight in the cold weather.)
