  Everything. We go to The Lakes often, but had not stayed in Keswick. The location, staff, room (very spacious) and facilities were very good indeed. We really look forward to returning soon to The Skiddaw Hotel. - Central location, high standard of accommodation, friendly staff.

  Good food, comfortable hotel, spa facilities, friendly staff, plus a super location about 3 miles outside of Keswick - a relaxing stay in a delightful setting, loved the pool and spa and the food was fabulous, worth another visit.

  We stayed for one night with our three children (aged 9, 7 and 5). The location is wonderful with views over Derwent Water. We had not stayed in a Youth Hostel before but it really suited us and we would definately consider going back. The children enjoyed the pool table and table tennis table. The meals were very good and the staff helpful an... hva folk sier » d friendly. We had a family room with two bunks and a single bed. - This is a fantastic place to stay in a perfect location. We travelled to Keswick by train and bus then walked to the hostel. Staff were very pleasant and helpful Food was good value, very tasty and plentiful. Liked having a proper sheet, pillow case and clean duvet cover. Self catering provision was excellent. Great facilities for children (table tennis, pool, games). Loved my stay.

  The ambience at Middle Ruddings is excellent. The staff have a laid back easy going efficiency and pay much attention to detail;nothing was too much trouble. We were made to feel like old friends although it was our first visit. The food was very good. Most hotels seem never to have ever heard of this superb taste combination. Excellent ra - A most charming inn set in a beautiful location overlooking Skiddaw. The staff were exceptionally friendly and as for the food - what can we say but 5 Star with emphasis on top quality local produce cooked with flair and presented with style. The breakfasts were exceptional especially the smoked haddock.   It was a lovely comfortable and spacious apartment with unexpected little touches like towels, toiletries and tea &coffee making facilities. It was more like staying in a hotel with the freedom of self catering, although you could dine in the hotel across the road if you wished. I found the apartment to be fully equipped, yes the kettle is small but made four cups of tea so no need to winge! The location was great, nice pub which serves food just around the corner.
