Modern clean rooms with excellent shower room, especially liked the shower gel supplied in wall dispenser gorgeous smell, the hand soap dispenser was the same, we stayed in room 9.
The hotel in general had a nice cosy feel to it.
Excellent staff, extremely helpful, cheery friendly and efficient, I travel a fair bit and these were the best I had encountered in quite a while.
The breakfast was lovely, yet again served by friendly cheery efficient staff.

Dont judge the hotel from the outside which looks tired and dated once inside you are in for a pleasant suprise. The foyer and reception area are bright and modern and the staff pleasant and helpfull. Our rooms were spotless and well equipped. All in all a great hotel and excellent value for money. We did not stay long, but the staff person there was extremely helpful. We arrived at 1 in the morning, and were easily able to get into our room. He also accommodated our need for an early breakfast the following morning, and he gave us a map with walking directions to the train station. Our room was spartan, as all youth hostel rooms are, but it was clean and comfortable. And the price, 22 pounds per person per night, could not be beat.
