Mary, the proprietor, contacted me prior to the arrival date and gave me clear directions on how to find the apartment. On arrival Mary was waiting to show me around the property and explain the entry/exit systems, fire alarms etc. The apartment itself is beautifully decorated and very well equipped. The lounge and the kitchen facilities are excellent and in the bedroom, the bed is really comfortable! There is a great en-suite with lovely shower. The apartment has a small balcony which provides.

Stylish and well appointed, with quality furniture and linens, this one-bedroom apartment was perfectly located with shops and restaurants right on the doorstep. The underground car park was easy to find and very convenient. The pre-arrival information was very clear & helpful and key pick-up was straightforward. Really luxurious, well decorated and appointed. Superb facilities. Excellent city centre location. We had one apartment and our friends had the other. They agreed with us and were very happy with their accommodation too. We stayed in apartment 310: Great apartment, very nicely decorated, a good size with great views of the castle and the river. Ideal location for the city, shops and restaurants. Perfect for a relaxing break!. The location is great. The arrival and departure processes are easy. Inside parking is good. This was our second stay at btb. We have found btb to be an excellent base for touring the highlands. Good central location, warm, clean & tidy. If anything, parking spaces could be a little wider, but if yo have a small to medium sized vehicle this would not be an issue. A minor quibble - 9 champagne flutes, but only 1 wine glass?. nothing. Nothing!. The parking space for room 305 is very hard to use. A bit of a pain finding the place but this may be due to last minute booking and not getting directions in time. Also difficult getting in touch with the managers out of 9-5 working hours. All good nothing bad to report. A bit noisy late in the evening as the pubs etc got going. Very relieved noise tended to abate at about midnight. Would suggest that there is some info about the quietest apartments. Could have made excellent use of an oven glove and sieve!. It was a bit difficult to regulate the heating as there was a time lag between making adjustments and them taking effect. However it was very cosy. Very hot had to keep the window open but weere then troubled by noise from late night revellers. Soap for washing machine would have been welcome. Key collection arrangements were a bit irritating . Could be a bit noisy but not really a problem. Too hot. No temperature controls. Mould on tiles in bathroom Only 1 wine glass,had to purchase glasses for our stay. No mirror near electric socket for hairdryer etc. First try a little hard to find. The black roll up garage door is actually in an ally side street and not easily visible from Bank Street. There is a black roll up door on Bank Street just around the corner from the door you want-somewhat confusing but if you know this no sweat. Nothing. What are 'service' apartments. I assumed they would be cleaned at the end, but small print says must clean yourself, with inadequate cleaning materials. Not good. Also very, very noisy location, till 3am. Apartment stuffy and could not open windows because of noise. Really cannot fault. Parking-Spot in grage (Apt. 305) is narrow, but for a small car ok. Almost every door inside the apartment are closing automaticly which was not useful for us. The door-stoppers worked not correctly. Lots of street noise to 4am. the driving instructions were awful. should have said head to the Old Town. Then instructions as to where to pick up key. Then to apt. very confusing. resulted in near divorce. No recycling. Rubbish shoot on that corriodor had sign at the top which could be easily missed. nothing. Some of the lights did not work. . Fire doors. The fire alarm going of at 1 o clock in the morning after someone setting it of in johny foxes. My wife had trouble sleeping because of traffic and music noise. Would ask for an apartment at the back of property. She bought ear plugs. Uncomfortably warm, no small windows to open; when too windy or rainy to open french window doors. Too much noise outside until late, to have bedroom window open at night. Nothing not to like. A bit pricey. Nothing. only one key for apartment apart from that no complaints at all. nothing. Key pickup was akward, difficult to locate hotel with keys. Lack of ventilation made the apartment stuffy and hot even with all heating turned off. Opening the window made it very noisy from traffic below. The mattress was hard and sloped to one side. The advertisement of luxury apartments is misleading. The one we had was large well equipped and very clean but it was not luxury. The cleanliness was really very very poor in the apartment. It appeared that it was not cleaned for ages.
