  To keep it in a nutshell - everything! We stayed in the triple room (Nr. 1) which is to the rear side of the building with garden view and very quiet. We left the window open all night. The room is equipped with a fridge, microwave, TV, etc. and tastefully decorated to the highest standard. The breakfast is superb and offers a wide range of choice... hva folk sier » s and the owners are so lovely people. We felt at home from the first moment on and they've secured their place in my Top-5-list of Scottish B&Bs. - Dave and Susan were the nicest couple, who made you feel friendly and at home in their beautiful Georgian style B&B in the city centre of Edinburgh. The B&B is conveniently located; it's a 25 minutes walk to the Royal Mile or a bus ride of 5 minutes. The breakfast was exceptionally well organised with lots of fresh fruits, croissants, yoghurts and cereals, and many different sorts of baked goods. I would recommend this B&B to everyone and if we return to Edinburgh, we will definitel

  To start off our 3 days we were arriving after the check in time, but the owner stayed up to let us in and told us the best way to get into town to get something to eat. Each day we got a great offering at breakfast and our room made up. We were really made to feel at home the whole stay. - This is a family guesthouse, and that explains why you feel so much at home there. The floor cover, design and dining room all make you feel a special guest. Breakfasts icluded, wifi is free. And fast. Plus a relatively close distance from the center - that's the best investment for a young couple, friends or a solo traveller who want to enjoy Edinburgh in any time of year.

  The staff was excellent especially Claudia-who was exceedingly helpful in finding a tour for us to the Highlands and Loch Ness last minute. The tour left very early and she arranged for an early breakfast even though they weren't open for breakfast yet.   The 23 Mayfield was a total delight! The staff was amazing - everyone seemed like genuinely nice people and happy to help. The hotel owner even gave us an excellent advice what to do and see further in Scotland and let us leave our car in their not so big car park even thought we stayed for only one night. Totally recommend! - Ross was a very welcoming and relaxed host. He provided us with some good recommendation for locations to visit whilst in Scotland. Breakfast was a gourmet experience with a great range for vegetarians (i had the Campbell's vegetarian haggis both mornings). Room was tastefully decorated and a good size. We enjoyed a cold beer in the oudoor room, which was just what we needed after a full days travel.
