Hostal de la Luz was a great find. The owners were extremely helpful and kind and the breakfast was good value for money. The room was spacious and clean and had a rooftop view over the river and church. The location was perfect, only a five minute walk to the town, tapas bars were closer and the area was nice and quiet. Definitely recommended! -

Lovely small hotel in a good location near the river. Only 10 mins walk to the old town and all the sights. The staff were very friendly and helpful, although they did not speak English and our Spanish is very limited they still managed to give us directions to some sights outside Cuenca and recommended places to eat.

visit really special was Eami (sp?) at the front desk. She went way
beyond our expectations helping us get to the hostal with our rental car

We felt great during our stay at Hostal La Campana; the staff was
extremely friendly, especially Antonio, the man at the reception, who I
assume is one of the owners as well. He was extremely helpful and nice.
The breakfast was very good as well, we paid only an extra 2 eur to get
a plate of queso and jamon. The room was big, the towels were changed
every day and the bathroom was very clean.

We stayed in the hostal. Location is very good, room was very clean, modern and comfortable; the air-con worked perfectly. The hotel staff was friendly and very helpful; most spoke English or were patient with our poor Spanish. Recommend the hostal to anyone who appreciates comfort and value, probably not the Mercedes-Benz/designer clothes crowd. -
