Large room (a double) with modern Scandinavian furniture. New and stylish bath room. Great view at the food market across the street (note that you might end up looking at the apartment block on the opposite side of the building). Nice breakfast buffet in the restaurant downstairs (included in room price) where I also had a very favorably priced (for Oslo standards) meal at night. Probably the best place I've stayed in Oslo. Price-quality ratio is excellent!

Good central location, easy to walk to all attractions from the hotel. The rooms were basic and small but clean and the bed was comfortable. For the price in Oslo it was excellent value for money. My daughter and I loved Smart Hotel! Our room was so clean and comfortable 638. We stayed from Friday to Sunday and then went to Porsgrunn. Unfortunately we didn't book for our return stay and had to book into a different hotel :( as Smart Hotel was fully booked. Loved everything about it. From walking into the lobby and listening to the rock and roll music combined with a lobby looking like no other, I knew my days in Oslo were going to be special. I enjoyed the technology of opening the hotel room and elevator operation to staying in the room watching HDmt. The reception Staff were very polite and friendly, as were the staff in the restaurant too. Incidentally the Breakfast was also very nice with a wide selection too. The standard room was small but clean and very modern. I would stay again, however perhaps invest in a slightly larger room for a well needed extra bit of space. -

I was in single room apartment several weeks. Whole hostel building is new and clean. Bathroom is nice, with floor heating, kitchenette is useful for preparing quick meals and hot drinks, free WiFi works fine. Staff was nice and friendly.

- Location: Very central and convenient. Most of the sights are located within a 15 minute radius. Walking to the central station also takes 15 minutes. Bus and tram stops 1 minute away. Metro is 5 minutes walk.
Breakfast: Superb cooked breakfast! Oslo is one of the cities where you need to have breakfast included as food is ridiculously expensive. Staff kindly opened the breakfast 20 minutes earlier so we could get some breakfast before we catch an early train to Bergen.

Great location, is close to everything (train and bus station too). The room (very clean) was a bit small, however the bathroom was big enough. The staff is super friendly and helpful.
The breakfast is good and plentiful. There is a huge hall downstairs where drinking tea and making friends. I recommend this hostel!
Ps: very close to the hostel there's a good restaurant, Nilsen Spiseri, and with the card of the hostal, at the dinner, you have a 10% discount.
