  If you are going to Miyajima stay overnight to give it a fair shake and enjoy the quit with a select few visitors. If you stay overnight stay at this hotel. This hotel was a step up from everything I had in Japan. I highly suggest booking at least 3 days in advance if you can. I unfortunately booked two days in advanced and I am poorer for missing out (not a mistake I will make again). Bathroom - I am travelling with my 3 teenagers and was hoping for them to have a unique experience when I choose to stay on Miyajima. It was perfect. The hotel was a short walk from the ferry and no trouble to find. The room was a quad share and we were greeted with a tour of our room followed by green tea and cake. The teenagers were in awe.   The Japanese style of the hotel. Very clean and well organised. The staff was very helpful. We forgot to book the diner at the hotel but they provided the bus to go and have dinner at a restaurant in Miyajima's centre. - Very friendly and helpful staff. Spacious japanese style room with a nice view to the sea.

  Great ryokan experience. The rooms are impollute, very friendly staff (particularly a woman who is in charge of arranging the rooms and the dinner). Views from the room to the Torii and the bay were outstanding. The dinner was delicious with lots of different Japanese dishes. Miyajima is a very recommended travel destiny, the walk around the town at 10pm with no body in the streets was wonderful.

  Travelling - 9 month old, parents and grandparents :) Miyajima is beautiful - Mizuhasou is a comfortable 10-15min walk from the ferry terminal, staff attentive and friendly. A fantastic "authentic Japanese" experience, toilet in rooms, individual hot baths, food was amazing. Miyajima is a daytime place - not much going on at night. We just stayed ... hva folk sier » overnight and probably could have spent more time there. - Mizuhasou is a good modern rendition of the Ryokan. Food was beautiful and interesting in taste and presentation. Family bathroom was great with two big "cauldrons". Most important of all, the staff were lovely. On arriving late, we were taken around the corner to the late Okonomiyaki resturant. Communication was fine with careful use of english.

  This hotel is located right across from the ferry terminal on Miyajima island, so it is very convenient. The staff were very friendly. The woman who runs the ryokan speaks English very well, and was very helpful. It is a very small ryokan, so it is very quiet and peaceful. I definitely recommend the Japanese style room, as it overlooks the o... hva folk sier » cean and the Japanese beds were the most comfortable beds we slept on in our entire visit to Japan (Western style beds tend to be very hard in Japan). - We had a warm welcome and the location was superb - just across from the ferry but very quiet. It is a good place to have a ryokan experience, we had a comfortable tatami futon room, bed sheets are clean the Japanese breakfast was excellent. This is a superb place for a quiet and good night sleep. We did not realized all the shops on island closed early at night, n have missed dinner time, thanks to the lady shop owner of Yamaichi Bekka, for her kindness to specially arranged a delicious BBQ

  I stayed at Momijiso 4 years ago - and this is the first place I looked for when we planned another trip to Miyajima. I wasn't disappointed. It's out of the way - but don't let that worry you.
