  This is the best place to stay, not only in Kanazawa or Japan but in the whole world. Shaq is an extremely helpful host and this hostel is the epitome of what one expects of any hostel. Traveling solo, I never once felt that I was by myself. There's plenty of people and it's quite a good scene most evenings. Besides that, the guesthouse is a walk away from the tr - Shaq big house is the maybe the best hostel I have stayed in during my trip in Japan. The place is brand new (he opened about 2 weeks ago) so everything is neat and clean. There is a huge kitchen very practical and beautiful (it was was a restaurant before). There is an insane amount of very beautiful dishes the former owner left which were really cool to eat with.
