This is the second time staying at this hotel and again, I didn't get the chance to use the Spa Facilities. This time my stay was only for 1 night as I was busy visiting Family. Cottages are well designed and felt like being at home only after 10 minutes of staying in.

The Derrin was very convenient to both the Ferry and the downtown area. Immaculately clean and a great owner/staff. We were very pleased with the accommodations and the pricing is very good. We were a late booking, but the proprietor was still more than willing to work with us and arrange for an early breakfast the following morning. The location is ideal for anyone wishing to take the ferry over to Scotland and is conveniently close to the port.

We honestly can't see any reason at all why anyone would pay 2-4 times as much to stay in some of Belfast's bigger hotels. Tara lodge had Everything including location. 10-20 mins walk from City hall, about 2 mins walk from a wide variety of restaurants and pubs. Despite this, the Tara is on a very quiet stretch of road lined with classic charming Belfast brick buildings.
