  Perfect location just a block from the Bund. It's literary 4 minute slow walk to BigBus stop. Room was not huge but not tiny either, no wrong smells, no dirty spots, nothing what could direct me to more expensive/not so central place. The staff can speak english enough to solve most of the problems. The room is ok, bed are comfortable and the bathroom is nice.   Inside the hotel it was really modern and the decor was great. It was great value and we felt happy about the place. The staff were fantastic and spoke very good English. They looked after our bags between 8am when we arrived in town till a 2pm check in.   Stayed here for four nights in May 2013. We were upgraded to a boutique suite at check in in the 5th floor. Most of the pictures online are for rooms on this floor. The room was very nice, spacious by China standards and clean. Bed was hard but this is normal in China. The bathroom appeared recently re-done. Shower pressure was great. The hotel advertised a western bre - We were given a free upgrade upon check-in and stayed in a nice room on the 5th floor. It was really clean, spacious and I really liked the design (a bit kitchy, literally everything in the room was green, but quirky and definitely not your usual hotel room). Bathroom was also clean and roomy, with all necessary amenities, towels changed daily.
