The staff were excellent. They were warm, friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble and they were keen to give information on things to do, restaurants etc. The location was close to the city centre and only a couple of minutes drive from the beach, markets, restaurant strip etc. Would definitely recommend this B&B as being convenient, comfortable, friendly and good value. A very nice place to stay. The old house is very charming and gives you a sense of what B&B is all about. Iva and Russell are very kind and helpful in all respects. It is just a 10 minute walk away from Palmer Street and another 10 minute drive from Castle Hill look out. The breakfast is delicious, offering very good coffee (!), fresh fruits, cerials, toast and premium marmelade.

We got valuable advice on what to see in the neighbourhood, where to eat, etc. We stayed in the Gold Room which is very comfortable. Good bed. Excellent breakfast (included) with fruit, cereals, yoghurt, toast. Wonderful hosts, we had a very good time. Iva and Russell are friendly and knowledgeable innkeepers who provide a wonderful 'home-away-from-home' at their charming bed and breakfast. Their years of experience in hospitality and tourism shows in everything they do. I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Townsville. Friendly welcome from hosts that really want you to enjoy your stay. Excellent breakfasts and a wonderful evening BBQ. Good room and social areas in a traditional Queenslander house. Close to beach and ferry to Magnetic Island by car. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 nights stay. The breakfast was excellent and the homely atmosphere makes one feels as if one is in one's own home. Just wish I could have stayed longer...!. The fact we hadn't booked for longer!. Could have TV in bedroom, but having said that probably not necessary because there was a communal one in seating area. Too many flies and mosquitoes whilst eating dinner outside on the deck QLD humidity. Would have been better with a conventional reception area. located near the main road, but its absolutely quite and has a nice garden view. nothing. Shared TV, but we were the only guests so that was OK.
