An absolutely charming hotel in a vintage home overflowing with the
smell of fresh lilies. You can relax in the leather coach with a glass
of port. The abundant breakfast buffet in the sunroom is wonderful. The
hotel is in a trendy neighborhood with upscale restaurants half a block
away and it is close to the Botanic Gardens and town. We loved the walk
down the steps, around the quay, across the gardens to the Opera House
and Circular Quay. It is way more pleasant than staying in a high-rise
ho. alle vurderinger
We arrived early (8:30am) from the airport and Ree not only let us check-
in to our room but kindly upgraded us. So appreciated! The room was
quiet, clean, and graciously appointed. Beautiful living room/parlor
and yummy breakfast. Great neighborhood - quiet, yet just a block away
are many restaurants. We had a very good dinner at a lively Italian
restaurant down the street. Lovely walk through the Botanic Gardens to
get to the bridge, Opera House, Circular Quay.
Nice B & B hotel in neighborhood close to the circular quay and opera house. The proprietors were friendly and provided me with detailed day trip ideas that proved to be excellent. This was a great personal touch that you would not get at a large hotel. My room was spacious and comfortable although a little noisy from the surrounding neighborhood. I would definately stay here again.
Fantastic renovated Arts & Crafts building with beautiful decor & art. Ut was like staying in someone's home rather than a hotel. Amazingly friendly & helpful staff. Generous breakfasts. Perfect location in quiet street but within walking distance to Sydney Opera House through the Botanical Gardens.
The overall quality and quiet ambience of the hotel.
Management helpful regarding access to city and surrounding islands.
Very accommodating regarding storing luggage until late departure time and arranging taxi pickup.
Pleasant walk to city centre via Botanical Gardens.
The staff seré great and made me feel like home. Room was lovely, big, clean. Really nice. It has wifi and parking included in price which is always a plus. Breakfast is also included with home made coffee and lots of nice food.
Staff very warm and friendly and helpful. Great locacion, very quiet and
very central, you can sleep with open window. Bathroom with shower and
all amenities for the arrival + departure day. Lovely living room with
open fire.
A beautiful house, friendly, helpful staff. Within walking distance of the Botanical Gardens and the city. The guest sitting room is comfortable with books and complimentary sherry and port, fine furnishings and fresh flowers.
It is a smaller B&B hotel. Resulting in a far more personal attention.
No TV in the room.
Very good breakfast. Excellent location. In a very quiet street. No problem to leave window open during the night.
Lovely house and great location for main attractions in Sydney. Staff friendly and very helpful on things to do and will take time to plan out a days excursion if you wish. Free wifi also included.
Fantastic place to stay. Convenient to great restaurants, city etc. Loved this place and the staff were great people who genuinely go out of their way to ensure a great stay. Thank you.
Practically everything! Perfect location and comfortable lounge with complimentary sherry and port and lots of very interesting books to browse. Very accommodating about late flights.
Extremely friendly staff with beautiful details that make the stay at Simpsons very pleasant plus the stylish decoration of every room makes of this accommodation a real delight.
Atmosphere of the heritage hotel exuded charm, warmth and relaxation
Staff were friendly and helpful
Location brilliant for exploring by foot or using public transport.
The interior of the house was comfortable and warm - it was winter.
Breakfast was excellent.
Location quiet and handy to restaurants and delis.

Simpsons solved it.
The room we stayed in was quiet, spacious and comfortable and the location was perfect.
Keith was an excellent host.
Very friendly/helpful staff and great location in easy walking distance of city & Circular Quay.
Great location. Lovely building with large comfortable rooms
Very friendly and accommodating staff.
Everything was just perfect! We were very close the the main attractions and restaurants.
Close to everything, clean, helpful staff, great breakfast, quiet, great value for money.
Heritage ambiance, beautifully maintained, great location & pleasant staff.
Friendly staff, very nice rooms (including common area), nice breakfast.
An excellent atmosphere with very friendly people, loved the old style.
In particular, the helpfulness of the staff: Ree, Damien and Keith.
staff, location, beautiful sitting room, ambience.
The location is superb and the service excellent.
Grand old house. Beautiful elegant stylish.
Convenient
Comfortable
Friendly.
Having stayed at Simpsons in previous years we were welcomed by Keith as old friends which was promising and he went out of his way to be most accommodating particularly with our early arrival.
Location and proximity to Elizabeth Bay House where we attended a
wedding. Lovely old house-loved the lounge room with port on the
side table.
proximity to the gardens and opera house. excellent restaurants nearby.
very quiet friendly hotel nice staff nice breakfast helpfull owners.
Location and great atmosphere in lovely property.
We really can't think of anything we didn't like. The hotel
actually exceeded our expectations.
There was nothing that we didn't like.
Absolutely nothing.
Walk to city may not suit less able people as the shortest route involves sets of stairs.
Nothing.
No claims.
A small point, however, it should receive attention.
Travellers are used to stay connected with the rest of the world.
Though there is a pc available, WiFi has become the minimum standard. The WiFi possibilities in the house were rather limited.
With a minimum investment this problem can be solved. I think this should be done.
Nothing.
Our room was a little dark and as it was overlooked by next door, we could not have the light on without pulling the curtains.
Leaving.
Too expensive for the service offered. No staff after 7pm.

Lack of wifi in rooms.
A minor thing; from inside our room, hallway conversations could be clearly heard.
Leaving.
Location is not awful but not super-convenient.
nothing.
liked it all.
I prefer a bath and not a shower.
We wish the staff were a bit more friendly.
Having made the reservation two months ago I realised the hotel was very busy but I was disappointed with the standard of accommodation this time - our room was tired and needed to be upgraded as various parts were in disrepair or the equivalent and for the rate we paid, this really was unacceotable.
Poor breakfast for the price-I really was looking forward to a cooked
breakfast for $300+ per night-an omelette to order is what I expect for
this money. If I want muesli and cold stuff,I will stay at a backpackers!
The dude serving coffee at breakfast was grumpy. And finally and most
importantly for this boutique type of place,it was not very friendly.i
felt like I was very much taken for granted despite paying $1230 for 2
rooms for 2 nights!I Felt done over and ultimately sad on leaving.
we were in a room (lower level) that was noisier (plumbing 'running' all night).
our room a little dirty handle fell of window when i opened it dated rooms needs a refurb.
Wifi wasn't accessible because you needed to ask for a password from a staff member and there was no staff in the property on the evening we arrived, one could have been left in each room. Good breakfast with good coffee but would have been better if leaf tea in the teapot rather than a tea bag.
Location is a bit iffy - adjacent to the Sydney Red Light district at Kings Cross.
Our room needed a thorough redecoration and big clean - there were murky corners and broken door cupboards. We discovered the oldest hairdrier still operational (just about).
