At last Sydney has a hotel connected to the International terminal for overnight stays when international connections are the next day. Sound proofing is excellent and the rooms are very comfortable. I had dinner in the restaurant and the food and wine list were surprisingly good. The female waiter was knowledgeable and very pleasant. Not what you expect in an airport hotel so a bit of a pleasant surprise. Would stay again on my next trip thru Sydney.

The convenience of the hotel to both international and domestic airports is fantastic. We were delayed a day by a cancelled flight due to a typhoon in Hong Kong, and the staff changed our booking without fuss, and were extremely helpful re our flight home, which also had been changed. I thought the room was very cleverly designed, with powerpoints, mirrors etc well placed. Extremely appropriate for an overnight stay in between flights. From start to finish, the staff were very helpful and obliging. The room was spacious ,well-appointed and spotless. We also had an excellent evening meal in the hotel restaurant. The location is of course at the airport itself so there are no beautiful views but it is very conveniently placed to catch the airport shuttle to the centre of Sydney. Ideal for a night's stay when you're catching an early morning flight. Rydges Sydney Airport is so convenient for international travellers to go across the laneway from the international terminal and check in. Friendly staff, nice selection of food - or you can go to the airport food court. If you have a hankering for a trip downtown, the train to the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Sydney Opera House and more is underneath the international terminal. Best purchase a daypass return fare. The hotel is right at the airport, fabulous after a long haul flight. The staff are lovely, check in so easy, baggage was looked after while we went out the next day, shuttle bus to the airport, fabulous smelling toiletries and a shelf full of Aussie goodies right at reception for people coming home and craving Tim Tams, Violet Crumbles and Caramellos. Very comfortable. It is so close to airport for stopover so perfect for my family of 8 (my husband and I, 4 children and 2 disabled parents in wheelchairs) for one night stay for flight next morning. Also within walking distance of train into town. Friendly, helpful staff and great size bedrooms especially the accessible bedroom my parents used. Breakfast was great too. Having access within walking distance to the Airport for an early morning flight was the best aspect of this hotel. The rooms and beds were very comfy and ultra modern. We loved the views of the airport, and loved that there was no noise at all. Staff were very helpful at check in and cjecl out. The whole process was very speedy. We flew into domestic airport for a wedding. Hired a car at domestic airport and drove to Rydges. Had to pay for parking ($20 approx) for 2hrs while we got dressed. We were able to drop car off to International side of Hire car company and then get shuttle to Domestic. This made up for the parking. I was returning to Auckland Darwinand the plane was late because of fog. got in after 10pm with a flight out at 6.15am. It was heaven to have a lovely room and great shower. Too late to try a snack. I got a taxi from national airport I was so tired .I.m 85. Convenience to the airport, the accommodations, and staff. We were traveling internationally and needed to rest during a 15-hour layover. The room was very clean and comfortable and the staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. The best stay I have had in Sydney. 1 minute from terminal and train station - which takes you straight into city. No expensive Taxis - no hassle with hire car parking ...... The Staff are great - I will not go anywhere else again. Staff were professional and pleasant. Room was well set out and bed comfy. Beside being next to the airport the room was super quite. It was perfect for our purpose which was transiting from a domestic to an international flight. Loved it. Nothing like coming out of the airport and walking across the road to the hotel after a long flight. Quick check in, super comfy bed and good choice of mini bar items. A little expensive but soooo worth it!!!. convenience to airport departure area. Ease of checking in and arrival. The hotel offered what we needed --a convenient place to stay before departing overseas early in the morning. Great location. Room was stylish and comfortable. And very quiet. Soup on offer through room service was awesome! Location across from the international terminal was a godsend, since I was struggling home sick. Easy stopover for long haul connection. Walk straight out of arrivals and you're there. The train to the city is right by the hotel too. Rooms and bed in particular were extremely comfortable. Right next to the Sydney International airport, only a few steps from the hotel to the airport entrance. Very comfortable room and great restaurant. Staff where very friendly and helpful. location. We had to overnight between Gladstone QLD and Ottawa, Canada. Free shuttle from domestic terminal and location right at international terminal made this long trip much easier. I liked how close it was to the domestic airport with a shuttle service every half hour, the bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning great, along with the room service!. Location was excellent for the ease of getting to the terminal without relying on shuttles or taxis. Watching the workings of the airport as well as the planes coming and going. Very good staff, room was spacious ans clean. No noise, we did expect to get a little being so close to airport but were pleasantly surprised. Room service and food very good. To just walk across the road after a long haul flight was fantastic.Modern, spotless and the most comfortable bed.we were not bothered by noise either from planes or traffic. If you need more, try crossing the laneway to the international terminal where you have about 2 hours per day free wifi. Nothing. Everything was perfect. Advertising something on the web site that I coudn't have access to. This has already been discussed by email. Cost of Parking is Horrific. the weather (rain). Nothing. Took me a while to figure out how to use the room key! (I don't get out much anymore.). The open loo and shower area was a bit interesting. Might not be everyone's cup of tea!. Nothing. The hotel is very new and has a few teething problems like the Tv in room we were given not programmed. Hotel moved us no problem. It cost a bit more than we usually try to pay but the convenience and comfort were worth it when we were so tired. No privacy in the bathroom as it had no door. Would not have liked to stay there if I had been travelling with a friend. Evening food options. To go to the restaurant no other option other than buffet for $30,too expensive when unwell & small appetite, Option chosen downstairs, sqid was undersized,very little actual flesh & covered by an exceedindly fatty batter! In edible!! When checking out gentleman at desk took payment off when pressed.I Had spoken to someone in the bar the night the night before & it was not followed up at that stage. Very bleak and cold colour sceme, wall colours way too dark. The buffet breakfast hot items were in fact stone cold. When I returned my plate and complained, I was told the food was meant to be just warm. This is not acceptable. My plate of food was then microwaved, making most of the contents inedible. Having stayed in many good hotels around the world, this is the first time I have encountered a buffet of hot food served cold. Thin walls and being able to hear TV from next door room and having to pay for a coffee as well as breakfast price, coffee should be included whether it is a cappuccino or a stewed brew M. We waited 45mins for a bucket of ice to be delivered to our room. Our breakfast order wasn't as it should have been. No negatives during our one night stay. Checkin/checkout were cordial and efficient with no service issues experienced. I disliked that it was so far out of the way from everything. The location was not it's strong point. Also the view from the room wasn't very pretty. Lack of bathtub. Used soap bar in the shower. Slow check in: took more than 20 minutes to sort out room; swipe card entry faulty for three different cards. Internal soundproofing not so effective - can hear corridor noise. Foyer relatively loud musak - not ideal after long-haul flight. Airport staff seem to have made the front of the hotel an unofficial smoking area, which is unpleasant and makes that space unusable for paying guests. Similarly, people were sleeping on couches in the reception area. Hotel management needs to sort this out. The cooked breakfast was very ho hum - scrambled eggs were cold, bacon was overlooked, poached eggs were rubbery. We were only there to sleep and out the next morning, so can't really comment on anything negative. It's a lovely hotel. Could have included more variety for tea selection in the room. Requested for green tea but reception said hotel does not have green tea but it is actually on the in room menu. Nothing, it suited our needs for a stay before an early flight perfectly. Has a heavy concrete feel about it. Toilet door quite open at top and bottom of door. Free wifi cutting out very quickly - this should be automatically free and unlimited.
