The breakfasts were very impressive with a great choice of fresh, delicious food and coffee made to order. The fresh fruit platter was an unexpected, very appreciated highlight on arrival. So great stay. - I liked the fact that it was situated near the city attractions but not too close, hence not too noisy. The tram stop was just by the hotel or we could walk downtown in less than 15 minutes. There was a small supermarket right next door. We were on 10th floor and had the views without the traffic noise. The staff were nice and helpful and the apartment was roomy, comfortable and tastefully decorated.

  I can't say enough good things about the Alto and staff . The room was clean ,comfortable and had little extras that made you feel at home.I had a mini box of chocolates and a welcome note waiting in my room as well as my luggage that they had kept secure for me for a week I was traveling to Caines . It also near the melbourne central, queen victoria markets. And many tourist points can be reach on foot. (If you don't mind to walk)

  The hotel suited our requirements perfectly. The location was good, the staff were exceptionally helpful. The beds were so comfortable. Even loved the fact that there was a bathtub which meant we could soak our weary feet and legs after a good day out and about. - Have stayed at Rydges 2009, 2011 and now 2013.
