  The hotel has a rather European feeling to it; the reception area and breakfast room are small and efficient, and our room was of adequate size but not large. The lift was not working when we arrived, but the staff were very helpful in assisting us with our luggage, and they were unfailingly helpful throughout our stay. The hotel is located in Oxford Street in Paddington, a bit outside the central business district but easily accessib - we felt that we received courteous contact with staff - the room was clean and comfortable - good value for money. We were left stranded at number 21 Oxford St., Darlinghurst by the "Air port to hotel " courtesy bus, and were most impressed when someone from the hotel came in a private car to transport us to to Arts Hotel. We received our early morning call as requested. When we have another visit to Sydney we hope you can accommodate us.

  The very responsive nature of the staff. The purpose of our stay was my partner was having surgery at St Vincent's and we needed somewhere closeby - we'd stayed there before (2008 & 2009). The bed was a little hard but housekeeping changed the mattress!! We needed a late check out on day of departure and this was handled expeditiously. Love the new renovations. - We were impressed with the staff and also by giving directions to public transport and recommendations for restaurants and sight-seeing. Overall staying in this neighbourhood is a colourful suburban / urban experience. The cot the hotel provided for our 14 mo son was fine. He slept in it without complaint. Complementary internet was very good. 1GB/day and excellen - The views were great and accommodated the 5 of us very well. The shops, the Rocks and Darling Harbour were literally on the door stop. Staff were friendly and very helpful - I had accidentally left a make up bag behind and called up 10 days later to see if I had left it behind. It was found in housekeeping and promptly mailed back to me. I would recommend the Meriton on Pitt street to everyone, my friends and I are already planning our next girls trip and happy to have our accommodation sorted!

Hotel in an excellent location in the cbd. It's not a luxury hotel but it would be a hotel I would choose again.

  Very friendly & accommodating staff. Facilities great, stayed two consecutive nights in a studio twin & two bedroom apartment. Very well appointed, comfortable rooms. We moved to the two bedroom apartment, so Staff moved bags between rooms for us while we were out, which was fabulous customer service & very much appreciated. Awesome location, close to darling - One was not pressured into early rising to please the housemaids. We slept in late every day as you should on holidays. The near shopping centres were wonderful as were all the food courts and restaurants.There is no shortage of entertainment near by, as well as cruises in the harbour, sight seeing etc. The staff were friendly and curtious and we will definitely be returning on our next holidays. - The location is perfect! With a short walk (<5mins) you can take the light rail to central station and the bus stop with buses to circular quay (including 555) just in front of the hotel! Haymarket and chinatown are about 5 mins walk from the back door. Room is big ( for 4 pax), clean and nice! bed is extremely comfortable and the price is reasonable ( ~aud 700 for 4 nights excluding weekend)!

  This hotel is great ... We manage to secure a early check-in on the 1st day of our arrival. Plus the staffs are all so friendly, oozing the Australian Hospitality. The best part i like best of this hotel is the location.. location.. location .. just five minutes walk away from King Cross City Train, nearby to major tourist location like circular... hva folk sier » quay, bondi beach. Easy access to supermarkets, cafes in the area. Plus they provide shuttle transfer to the airport at only AUD12 (cheaper than ta - Staff were friendly. Location was perfect. Room was clean and tidy with everything we needed. Loved the chill out computer room with free internet. Bed was really comfortable and we were not only able to check in a lot earlier than the usual 2pm check in, but we had been given a double upgrade. Originally we had booked the small double room and we ended up with the king size bed in a really nice sized room.
