Loved the adult infinity pool and that our room was a few feet away. We had an awesome oceanfront room that was very close to the pool. The pool side staff was very friendly and service was excellent. Front desk was freindly and helpful. Maid service was good too. -

Variety of pools suited all ages. Children of all ages were well catered for and hence adults were able to enjoy the location and amenities and relax, I especially loved my visits to the adults only pool. Our room was fantastic, the beds exceptionally comfortable. The beach was beautiful and I loved having breakfast in the Grand dining room. -

We exited the taxi and were welcomed to the Four Seasons with a lei, which we expected. A porter took us to the check-in desk at 11:00 A.M. where only one girl was working. The check-in girl snapped at the porter stating she was already serving someone. Dave came on the scene and checked us in and walked us to the elevator answering all our quest

The staff were very welcoming from when we first arrived. Throughout our stay we were recognized and equipt for with no trouble. All staff were brilliant at remembering our names which was very impressive. Everyone had their role to maximize the fine detail around the hotel, the design was beautiful and the lay out was very nice. Rooms were spacious and homely. I would definatly recommend this hotel.

Unit was well equiped with both kitchen items and beach chairs, etc. The view was great. Loved the pools, beach access and lounge chairs. The unit was large, decorated nicely and had a great lanai. The property was located perfectly in Wailea. Had a wonderful week there. -

I came with my then wife on a 25th anniversary trip in 1997. Since then there has been quite a bit of development of other hotels in the area since then but there is still a feeling of space because of the surrounding golf courses. Access from pool to sea is excellent.

Excellent location and the suites were very nice. A spectacular
breakfast spread every morning which was delicious. Neither of the main
restaurants impressed me much and we actually ate at the Four Seasons
(Duo and Ferraro's) twice each. Also ate local food elsewhere.

Absolutely amazing. Everyone treated us like we were the only guests. The check in, bellboy introduction and resort services all made the fairmont an experience to remember. I wish I could have stayed longer. Everything around the grounds were immaculate. The rooms are huge,clean and very well appointed. It definitely felt like paradise. Restaurants were great. Service at Ko was exceptional. There were so many loungers and plenty of grounds and pool space that you never felt crowded anywhere.

Jim Music was very accommodating in getting us a room earlier than check-in. We were very fortunate that we stayed longer the next day since the room wasn't booked. The staff and guests just seemed so much more pleasant and approachable than other resorts we visited in the area. The location, beach and quiet were ideal for us. We visited the Four Seasons, Andaz and Grand Wailea and just felt more "at home" at the Makena. Less pretentious, less "busy", more relaxing, quieter. -
