The efficient and free shuttle to and for the ferry terminal and the airport is a $100 round trip value. The drivers are knowledgeable about the area with good suggestions for hikes, tickets for shuttles to Mendenhall Glacier, etc. computer in lobby for printing boarding passes also helpful. And they let you check in as soon as a room is ready when you come in on a ferry in the early morning.

This must be one of the best bargain options in Alaska. We paid 75 dollars for a spacious double room, that was clean and had everything necessary for even a longer stay. Wi Fi was perfect. Unfortunately, we only stayed for one night and had to leave early in the morning, so we can say nothing about breakfast quality.
Generally, this place, if they keep their present rates, is highly recommended.

My wife and I spent 3 most wonderful nights at lodge. We watched aurora borealis Three days in a row from my balcony. Amazing location! Anita, owner of the lodge, provides different but delicious breakfast every day. Since most of us did not bring enough clothes for standing under -20 F outdoors, she offered heavy coats and boots to make our surora viewing so enjoyable. Anita provides lots of advices that make our trip a lovely memory of life time.

I have no complaints. I was in and out, stayed 5/7 nights on a week
vacation. It was a solo vacation and I felt safe. I was greeted by name,
had assistance for storage of belongings, obtaining a taxi, and
recomendations for meals. They have internet and a printer to get your
boarding pass. The bed and linen were great, I had back spasms and spent
a fair amount of time resting. I would stay there again.
