  I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the intercontinental. The staff were amazing and made my stay as comfortable as possible. Luis at the front desk was awesome and helped me arrange my day trips and seeing the sites. I can't compliment him enough for his help!   The photo's do not do this hotel justice! The essence of this hotel of rich history or sport, that dark, seductive feel to the rooms- it really was such a wonderful stay! The staff were FABULOUS and so helpful towards our every enquiry.   What did I like about the hotel? Everything! All the staff were very friendly and polite and the hotel was very homely and stylish. I will definitely recommend it to my friends who may be staying in LA and will be back again for another great experience if I come back to LA.   How could we not love our spectacular suite! Although our luxury King room on the 19th floor with views over the Hollywood hills was lovely and we would stay in this room type again, we upgraded to the breathtaking 2100 sq foot "panorama suite" on the 20th floor with a 270 degree panoramic view of the entire city and the beautiful Hollywood Hills.... wat mensen zeggen » The staff was absolutely wonderful from check in to check out and all encounters in between. Manager Steven was the crowning jewel amongst the staff - 1. We initially booked the deluxe double room however it was quite cramp and small. The next day we upgraded to a Junior suite which had a king size bed and a sofa bed (queen size probably?) which was very spacious. 2. Located in the heart of Hollywood. Connected to Hollywood/Highland Centre (one of the best spots to view the Hollywood sign) and right next to the Hollywood/Highland Red Line metro station. One metro stop from Universal City and a very short walk to the star walk, TCL theatre etc

The little balcony was nice, through not much of a view. Didn't go to the restaurants / pool, but ordered room service once - prompt service and way more food than I could digest. Beverly Hills adjacent so driving was as easy as driving can be in Los Angeles. The rooms have balconies. We opened the balcony door and listened to the fountain across the street.
