  Good base to explore New York. Very comfortable hotel, room was spotlessly clean with plenty of toiletries & beautiful towels. Room comfort excellent. We couldn't check in til 4pm but not a problem as we left our luggage there so we were able to start our tour of New York. After hours having to use your room key to get past the door security officer then also to make the lift work makes you feel safe. The staff is always happy and friendly and willing to go the extra mile to make your stay memorable for the right reasons. The breakfast was awesome too.

I found the Pearl based on two criteria -- it was not as expensive as some of the other hotels and it was highly ranked by both travelers and star ratings.
