  Silver Maple Inn is a circa 1950s/60s motor lodge, upgraded. We usually stay in chains but this experience has made us rethink what we might like for future stays - it was quiet, clean, room a little bigger than a motel room, it has beautiful grounds, a good continential breakfast in the hotel adjacent to the property. As with - Great location in the town and not right on the street so road noise was not an issue. The motel was built around a grassy little park area with mature trees and picnic tables. Great for kids to play safely. A pair of owls who-whoed us to sleep. Beds were very comfortable. All was clean and in working order. Close to several good restaurants. Would definitely return.

It was just right for organizing our backpackers on the night before our three-day backpacking trip into the high Sierras. The motel rooms are functional and accommodating while the Inn looks antique and historically intriguing.

  The Cain House is decorated with lovely antiques and the bed was very comfortable.The bathroom was newly remodeled and quite large. It was nice to sit in the living room and enjoy the ambiance. I loved that the glasses in the rooms were real glass and the afternoon homemade cookies and tea were delicious. There were plenty of places in walking d - The room was nice and well appointed. We really enjoyed having a glass of wine on the front porch.
