  The staff was excellent, friendly and accommodating. The lobby was under construction, but it was very quite. The room was clean and the parking was convenient.. - This was the worst horrible place I have ever stayed and will never stay here or any holiday inn again

  Very large, new looking room compared to most big name hotel chains. Clean. Had a refrigerator. Good sun blocking curtains. Were were very comfortable staying at the Courtyard Long Beach. - Tim at the front desk was unbelievably helpful and so courteous!!!~ We needed to spend an extra night and he made it happen.   I enjoyed the comfortable (though not very large) rooms and the easy stay at the Varden with small extra's like the wifi (could be a bit faster) the 17-19 free wine and the 24/7 free coffee (which was nice having quite a jetlag). The location within Long Beach is good, with the Pike street (many restaurants), the Gold's Gym and the Blue Line metro... wat mensen zeggen » stop very close. Special compliments to the staff who all really did their outmost to make my stay optimal, accepting some amazon-shipments and bring - All of the staff we encountered were incredibly friendly, welcoming & helpful. The location was excellent, being only a block from pine Av & aprox 15min easy walk down to Shoreline Pier. The modern ,groovy room although compact, worked really well. It was spotless & had everything you would need, ie Flatscreen Tv, hairdryer, plush towels & bathroom products. We loved the little self-serve " tea- coffee, snacks area" & not too mention the complimentary wine between 5 & 7p
